Deposit Accounts



Share (Savings) Accounts

Savings account may be opened with $25.00. Dividends on savings are posted to your account monthly. Dividends are compounded daily on the account balance. Rates on these accounts may change monthly. Your shares are insured by the Administrator, National Credit Union Administration, up to $250,000.00 for each account. You must have a share (savings) account to take advantage of our other services.

Share Draft (Checking) Accounts

Our share draft accounts are the Credit Union’s answer to checking. There is no minimum balance required and no monthly service charge. A monthly statement is provided on share draft accounts. We offer overdraft protection at no charge. You may have automatic deductions from your share draft account. We offer a variety of checks that may be ordered through the credit union office for a minimum fee. Photocopies of checks are also available for a small fee. There are no monthly dividends posted to the share draft accounts.

Super Share Accounts

The Super Share Account is another easy way for you to save. Higher dividends are paid on these accounts, but only one withdrawal or transfer is allowed a month. There is no minimum balance required. No overdraft protection or automatic deductions are permitted from the Super Share Account.

Grow With Me Accounts

The grow with me account is for kids under 18 years of age with a minimum balance of $5.00.

Club Accounts

Christmas Clubs and Vacation Clubs are another way to insure that when you need money for Christmas or a vacation, you’ll already have it saved. You set the amount you want to save. The funds for Christmas Clubs are available the 1st of October. The funds for Vacation Clubs are available anytime.

Certificates

Certificates are another option to earn higher dividends. They are available for 6, 12, 18, or 30 month terms. Special terms are also promoted on occasion. The minimum balance on certificates is $500.00. Check with the Credit Union for current rates.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) 

An Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is an account that allows members to put money aside for retirement. Deposits into an IRA may be tax deductible on both federal and state tax returns depending on certain circumstances. The dividends paid on an IRA account are not taxed until they are distributed to the member.

Money Market Accounts

Money Market Accounts are available to members who want to save money and earn a higher dividend, without being locked into a specific term. The minimum balance required to establish this account is $1,000.00. No overdraft protection or automatic deductions are permitted from Money Market Accounts. These accounts are limited to one withdrawal or transfer per month.
